8-Bit Commando is a run-and-gun platformer in the style of classic arcade action games like Contra. The game's protagonist faces off against a huge army of enemies, using a wide variety of weapons. Enemies range from ordinary soldiers charging head-on to various flying machines and even tanks! Weapons can be customized with collectible modifications that allow you to change their firing mode. Upgrades can include guns that can cover half the screen with a single shot, giving enemies no chance of survival. The gameplay includes numerous platforming elements. The immersive music of chiptune artist Ozzed enhances the atmosphere and combat spirit. 8-Bit Commando features motorcycle chase levels, designed to add a dynamic feel and add excitement. Battles take place in both urban and seaside locations. Each level concludes with an intense boss battle.
