Description: Along a forest path, men disappear into the horizon, illuminated by scarlet flames, never to return. Young Nadya, filling in for her ailing mother, is forced to become a postwoman, delivering news of both sorrow and hope throughout the village. "And Goryushko Followed the Dog..." is a short interactive work about a young postwoman forced to deliver news from the front to soldiers' families during World War II. Along with death notices, she also delivers them. The protagonist was based on the grandmother of one of the game's creators, as well as the lyrical heroine from Tatyana Chernovskaya's "Poems about the Postwoman." The plot is based on memories of childhood in a village near Rzhev, where bloody battles took place. The destinies, life stories, and situations of almost all the supporting characters are drawn from family stories, wartime anecdotes, and letters from great-grandfathers, as well as several open sources. The artistic approach is inspired by children's drawings, neo-expressionism, Russian popular prints, and illustrations from Soviet-era books. "And Goryushko Follows the Dog..." is a space of images, sketches of important moments, memories, and thoughts, combined with motifs from Russian folk tales.
