Description : A standalone Total War game that challenges you to rewrite a key period in history that shaped the future of Britain. Strengthen and defend your kingdom by leading one of ten factions—Anglo-Saxons, Gaelic clans, Welsh tribes, or Vikings. Form alliances, manage growing settlements, raise armies, and participate in campaigns on the most detailed map in the history of the Total War series. The game brings a number of updates to the core mechanics of Total War. Aspects such as provincial management, politics, technology, troop recruitment, dilemmas, and much more have been improved. Thanks to these changes, the gameplay becomes even deeper and more interesting.
Game features :
  • Choose your strategy. There are many ways to achieve victory in the Grand Campaign. Expand your holdings through force of arms; achieve glory by strengthening your provincial economies, developing technologies, and increasing your influence; or complete a series of unique missions based on the history of your chosen faction. Once you've strengthened your position, prepare for the serious challenges of the late game and attempt to achieve the final condition that leads to ultimate victory.
  • Explore and conquer the British Isles. From the snowy highlands of Scotland to the gardens and meadows of Kent, lift the fog of war and conquer the vast expanses of Anglo-Saxon Britain. Lead your armies into battle. Battlefields are incredibly diverse, from cities to rural landscapes. Capture small settlements to open up new strategic opportunities. Interdict enemy trade routes and lure them out of fortified positions.
  • A Viking warlord or an Anglo-Saxon king? Each faction offers a series of unique events and multi-layered dilemmas, many of which are based on real events and issues of the time. Lead Viking campaigns or rule Anglo-Saxon peasants—each faction offers its own playstyle. Create unique roles for your king and nobles, determine their influence, and make crucial decisions that shape their future.
  • Classic Total War gameplay has been enhanced. The game introduces a number of updates to key Total War mechanics. Aspects such as provincial management, politics, technology, troop recruitment, dilemmas, and much more have been improved. These changes make the gameplay even deeper and more engaging.
  • Factions, Cultures and Rulers: In Thrones of Britannia, you will have access to ten factions representing the five cultures described below.
