Description: The Great Goddess created a world called Engardin and left, leaving four giants. Obeying their divine destiny, the giants maintained order in the world, while the inhabitants of Engardine multiplied and were reborn. Humans were the last to be created, and their insatiable ambition led to a protracted war with the giants. Fire consumed Engardine, and eventually a massive explosion known as the "Annihilation" devastated humanity's sacred lands and ended the conflict. Divine order was disrupted, and life began to wither. The age of humanity ended. The humans who survived the war scattered across Engardine. Cut off from the Source of humanity, incapable of rebirth, they banded together and founded settlements. Aros's apprentice, a girl named Renee, who had lost her memory, was the only survivor of the attack on the village.
