In most survival city-building games, you manage just a single city, but in Against the Storm, your task is to build a vast network of thriving settlements, home to diverse, fantastical peoples with distinct lifestyles, needs, and skills. The untamed lands are teeming with unexpected threats, and relentless storms will hinder your people's efforts to rebuild. You will lose settlements, and expeditions will fail, but this does not mean defeat. Against the Storm is a game with roguelike elements, meaning even if you fail, you can continue your mission, retaining resources, upgrades, and experience from previous expeditions. Foxes, beavers, lizards, humans, and harpies help each other survive in this dangerous world. Use the strengths of each race to meet the needs of all. Build suitable shelters and provide food for everyone, produce luxury goods, and organize leisure activities. Sew raincoats, brew ale, bake piesâ€”by any means necessary, try to boost the morale of the population, constantly threatened by the dangerous and unexplored forest. Or perhaps you will prioritize the needs of only one species to quickly fulfill the Scorched Queen's orders? Combine classic city-building with roguelike elements, and you have a game you simply cannot put down. Build cities and manage numerous settlements on a vast map, while collecting valuable resources needed to upgrade the Smoldering City.
