Description:
Airport CEO is a tycoon and management game in which you become the CEO of your own airport. You must build the airport's infrastructure, from the runway and taxi ramps to the terminals with check-in, security, restaurants, and shops. You will manage all aspects of the airport's business, hiring employees and managers, negotiating deals with airlines, and ensuring your resources and money don't run out. You will have to serve passengers, minimizing their wait times, hiring friendly and efficient staff, and ensuring their safety, minimizing any potential incidents; after all, a happy passenger is a generous passenger. Hopefully, you won't encounter tired employees, equipment breakdowns, or bad weather, which can lead to significant flight delays or even emergency landings. You will lose money if things go badly, and become filthy rich if things improve.
Airport CEO: Your goal is to build and flawlessly manage an airport, making key strategic decisions, choosing the optimal airport layout, and, ideally, keeping passengers and airlines happy. You'll need to build an entire airport from scratch, including the terminal base with floors, walls, doors, and other infrastructure such as runways, taxi ramps, canopies, and more. Everything in Airport CEO is a realistic simulation, and your job is to ensure everything works as intended and maintain a positive bank balance.
Airlines: Airlines and those who travel on them are an important element of Airport CEO, as they are the main source of revenue for the airport. Signing contracts with airlines will bring in cash and passengers to the airport, which for you means opportunities to collect fees for various services and also planning passenger departures. Airlines come in all sizes and may have different requirements for your airport, as you're responsible for more than just scheduling flights and providing services. Sometimes you'll have to deal with emergencies and flight delays due to bad weather or accidents, which will be a great test of your management skills.
Passengers: Passengers at Airport CEO have unique personalities, needs, histories, and, most importantly, they need to get to their flights (on time). Passengers are carefully crafted, and their decisions, behavior, and opinions about your airport are influenced by several factors. Passengers at Airport CEO, just like in real life, must wait in line, check in, go through security, and then occupy themselves until their flight is ready for boarding. Arriving passengers must collect their luggage, take it with them, and possibly clear customs before boarding an airport transfer. Whether they can make their flights depends entirely on you: passengers may have difficulty navigating the airport, so consider building an information desk; passengers may be frustrated by long security lines and wait times, so consider increasing capacity; and they may complain about the lack of fun in the terminal areas, so consider building a duty-free shop or exclusive brand boutiques.
Employees: Employees are the ones you trust to keep your airport running smoothly. Just like passengers, they are highly detailed and have a mind of their own. Employees can be assigned a variety of tasks, and it's your job to ensure your airport has the right people at all times. These range from passenger service agents, cleaners, traffic controllers, mechanics, and security guards to administrators and managers. The more you expand your airport's capacity and service quality, the more versatile and skilled your employees must be. When serving passengers, employees must possess people skills and be resilient to stress to avoid mistakes or customer dissatisfaction.
Buildings and Structures: Airports are massive complexes with a huge number of buildings and structures. While a small airport may only need a simple runway and one terminal, as your airport grows, you'll need to provide various structures such as air traffic control towers, large flight information boards, taxi access, a fire department, a gas station, weather stations, and a cafe. As your airport grows, so does your terminal, and you need to ensure it has all the necessary facilities passengers need. Terminal construction in Airport CEO is easily customizable, allowing you to create the desired shape and interior, including floors, walls, and doors. Baggage needs to be processed and shipped on the same flight as its owner, and you must avoid problems by creating the best terminal possible.
Being the Director: Data, data, data! As the current CEO of your airport, you need to make complex business decisions based on current processes. As Airport CEO, you're equipped with a variety of information sources to learn from and manage the airport effectively.
