Alexander is a historical real-time strategy game developed by GSC Game World, the company behind the Cossacks project. Based on the film of the same name, Alexander, directed by Oliver Stone, is the first game in the CIS developed under a Hollywood film license. The global publisher is the French company Ubisoft. The game is set during the conquests of Alexander the Great (4th century BC). In 15 story missions, players will follow in the footsteps of the great commander and ruler. They will command armies, build cities, engage in naval battles, restore order to their lands, and much more. After completing the main campaign, three additional campaigns become available: for Persia, Egypt, and India. Up to 64,000 warriors will rally under the player's banner, and 8,000 will face off in mortal combat. Each nation has three unique characters who not only lead their troops, but also provide certain bonuses to their armies.
