A strange virus has engulfed the inhabitants of an entire city. The infected area, cut off from the rest of the world, has become known as the "Dark Sector." The inhabitants have mutated, turning into grotesque, decaying monsters, and roam the streets in search of the few remaining survivors. They are the carriers of the virus, merciless predators hungry for human flesh. And somewhere deep within the city lies the secret of military biological research, for which powerful organizations and corporations are willing to risk all of humanity. The game's protagonist, secret agent Hayden Tenno, was wounded and infected during an operation to uncover this dark secret. However, his body, covered in plates of organic armor, superhuman strength and speed, and destructive power will prove very useful to Hayden on the avenues and alleys of the forbidden and deadly Dark Sector. Now his main task is to stay alive, and to become human again - that’s how it works out.
