ENDLESS Legend 2 features a diverse group of factions, each with its own philosophy, history, capabilities, and development pathâ€”whether righteous star warriors, cursed knights seeking redemption from their fate, or hive-minded creatures capable only of fighting, feeding, and reproducing. Each faction's unique traits distinguish them from others on the battlefield, in trade, empire-building, and diplomacy. You must adapt to their strengths and weaknesses, develop strategies, and forge your own unique playstyle. Your choice of faction impacts every aspect of the game. Will you live in a constant state of war, needing no justification for your attacks, generating new warriors with every victory and constantly increasing your strength? Or will you choose a path of coexistence and cooperation, spreading tentacles of influence across the world, building a network of allies, and leveraging connections with minor factions to increase the wealth of your empire? Or perhaps you will lead a people who feed on their own kind, utilizing a unique economy unfettered by the needs of mere mortals? Discover what makes each faction unique and use these traits to your advantageâ€”whether leading them to greatness or seeking their destruction. Factions' military doctrines vary greatly, providing a capable commander with unique opportunities to gain an advantage over their opponents, even beyond the battlefield. Clan Sheredin builds massive fortifications to protect cities and develops powerful orbital weapons and support systems. Empathic Aspects spread coral to sustain themselves beyond friendly territory. Necrophage hives are dotted with nests and burrows, allowing them to quickly move across vast spaces and ambush enemies from underground. You can choose automatic combat resolution or take direct control of individual units in your army, using the terrain to your advantageâ€”controlling key points, cover, and high ground will give you an advantage. Each faction not only has special units, characteristics, weapons, and attributes, but also unique combat abilities that, when used correctly, can change the course of a battle. One faction is better served by a patient commander, carefully maneuvering troops to gain powerful adjacency bonuses, while another relies on numbers and overwhelming force.Recruit heroes and watch them grow over time, acquiring new traits that enhance their abilities. Form relationships that grant them various bonuses, and equip them with gear useful both in and out of combat. Strong commanders, properly trained and equipped, can turn the tide of entire wars. Empires will flourish and fall based on their ability to adapt to a changing world. Starting with a single small town, expand your holdings, taking into account the unique advantages and limitations of your faction and adapting to the periodic monsoons and ebbs of the tides.
