Description : Lead a small group of settlers and build a city in the wild lands on the edge of the known world. Extract resources, hunt, fish and farm. Provide people with basic necessities, as well as weapons and armor. Battle the elements and fend off enemy attacks (for those who don't enjoy combat, the game offers a peaceful mode).
Game Features :
  • Mine, grow, and craft. Harvest 14 different types of raw materials: wood, stone, clay, metal ore, herbs, honey, and much more. Harvest 17 types of food, including wild berries, fish, and game, as well as 10 different crops. Craft 32 types of items and materials within a multi-tiered economy.
  • Build and grow. Over 50 different buildings are available. Build a modest settlement and transform it into a bustling city. As your settlement grows in prosperity, it will attract new residents, and the city center and housing will develop through several stages. Upgrade your production buildings to increase their efficiency and unlock the ability to craft more complex items.
  • A sophisticated agricultural system. Choose from 10 crops with different characteristics and organize crop rotation to maintain soil fertility, avoid harvest losses due to drought or frost, and prevent plant diseases. Cultivate fields, remove weeds and rocks, improve fertility, and regulate soil composition to maximize harvests and feed your population.
  • An advanced city simulation. Settlers live their lives and perform their tasks in real time. You can watch them transport raw materials from distant mines to the city for processing and crafting, and deliver food and manufactured items to dwellings and trading posts—or to warehouses for storage. Develop a road network, build wagons, and improve storage methods to optimize the movement of goods and prevent spoilage.
  • Random Maps. Farthest Frontier is replayable: randomly generated terrain and resources ensure that every game is unique. Players can adjust the number of bodies of water and mountains in the landscape, creating incredible maps that are challenging in their own right.
  • Idyll or chaos. Adjustable difficulty settings allow you to create a tranquil game without invasions or epidemics, or set the maximum difficulty to seriously challenge even the most experienced city planner.
  • Interact with the environment. Develop your economy based on the raw materials available to you, and produce goods to exchange for resources you lack. Build fences to prevent deer from trampling your fields and bears from reaching your food storage. Place wells in the shade of trees to prevent them from drying out. Clear land for crops, but try to preserve important wild resources like berries and medicinal herbs.
  • Good old-fashioned diseases! Provide your settlers with clean drinking water to avoid outbreaks of dysentery and cholera. Pick berries and plant vegetables to provide them with a varied diet and protect them from scurvy. Make sure they are well-shod and clothed—this reduces the risk of tetanus, rabies, or the common cold. Build a healer's hut to isolate the sick and provide them with herbs and medicine. And don't forget about rodents, which carry the dreaded bubonic plague—dispose of trash, store food securely, and employ the services of rat-catchers.
  • Repel invasions. You can start the game in peaceful mode, which will prevent you from fighting at all, or choose a suitable difficulty level, which will expose your city to raiders. Build wooden palisades and stone walls, erect towers and barracks, and recruit and equip soldiers to defend your city. The wealthier your settlement becomes, the more often it will fall under the greedy gaze of bandits and foreign armies.
