Game description : Fatal Frame Maiden of Black Water is a survival horror video game developed by Koei Tecmo and originally published by Nintendo for the Wii U. The fifth main A game in the Fatal Frame series, it was released in Japan in September 2014 and worldwide in October 2015. A remaster for eighth- and ninth-generation consoles and Windows, this time published by Koei Tecmo, was released worldwide in October 2021.
Plot : Mount Hikami was once considered sacred. An unusual religion, centered on the worship of water, flourished there. It is also said to be the site of numerous horrific accidents and mysterious phenomena. This mysterious and intricate plot follows three charactersâ€”Yuri Kozukata, Myu Hinasaki, and Ren Houjouâ€”as they journey to the ominous mountain, where many have met their end, and attempt to unravel its mysteries. To explore Mount Hikami and its past and the misfortunes it lurks within, you must wield the Camera Obscuraâ€”a special camera that wards off vengeful ghosts and sap their powers. The story is divided into separate quests, each to be completed by a different character. The Camera Obscura not only seals away the evil spirits that attack you, but also helps you see things invisible to the human eye and find lost treasures. The release of FATAL FRAME/PROJECT ZERO: Maiden of Black Water coincides with the 20th anniversary of the FATAL FRAME/PROJECT ZERO adventure horror series.
