Forever Skies is an atypical survival game set in a post-apocalyptic world, where the player takes control of an airship. Unfortunately, the protagonist is the only crew member, but even this doesn't lessen his problems. He still needs food, which is practically nonexistent in the air except for rare birds. And technology is prone to breakdowns, requiring constant replacement of old parts. Humanity has destroyed the planet with its own hands. Ignoring scientists' warnings about a potential environmental disaster, the wasteful consumption of natural resources and the release of toxic substances into the air led to the formation of poisonous red dust and storms. They covered almost every country and city, wiping out most of the population. Everything around was stained the color of rust, including the clouds. Then rescue airships were built to lift people upward, where they could still breathe. But internal squabbles and power struggles prevented everyone from escaping, and most of the vehicles crashed. The protagonist is one of the rare survivors who managed to lift the apparatus into the sky and have a chance at life.
