Description: The single-player campaign of Galactic Civilizations 3 takes place five years after the events of Galactic Civilizations 2: Twilight of the Armor. As the leader of a spacefaring civilization, players will explore new worlds and expand their presence in a 23rd-century universe divided into hexagonal cells. Knowledge of the series' backstory is optional: the story campaign will be preceded by a summary of the previous installments. Furthermore, Galactic Civilizations 3 is the first game in its series to feature a multiplayer mode. According to the developers, the features of a 64-bit operating system allowed them to improve the series in several ways: maps are now larger, artificial intelligence is more resourceful, and graphics are more detailed.
