Description: Gears 5 is a third-person shooter game. The game features four game modes: a story campaign, Horde, Escape, and Standoff. The story campaign can be completed solo or in co-op with up to three players. Horde mode is played co-op with up to five players. Escape is designed for three players. Standoff mode is a multiplayer mode. The game's combat system features various types of fictional long-range and firearms, grenades, and close-quarters combat, which includes melee attacks and finishing moves. Players can simultaneously carry two types of "conventional" weapons, one of the game's pistols, and one type of grenade. Additionally, players can equip heavy weapons, which are discarded when switching to another weapon. Each weapon uses its own type of ammunition, which can be found throughout the levels or obtained from the weapons of eliminated enemies. In addition to ammunition, players can find weapons themselves or replace existing ones. As in previous games, Gears 5 utilizes a cover systemâ€”the player can hide behind any wall or obstacle and fire accurately from there, or fire blindly, change their position within cover, and even dart from one cover to another. The game utilizes automatic health regenerationâ€”the player must avoid taking damage for a certain period of time to regain health. Health is indicated by a gear icon in the center of the screen, which becomes more visible as the character's health decreases.
