Ghostwire Tokyo is a captivating, dark, and unique third-person fantasy horror game that takes you to Tokyo during an event that has left most of the population missing. The game's plot revolves around events taking place in modern-day Tokyo. Suddenly, one day, people began to vanish. Only clothes and personal belongings remained in their placeâ€”their bodies simply vanished without a trace. Only a few were untouched by the phenomenon and survived. What happened? Where did they all go? What to do now? These are the questions you'll be searching for as you play as one of the lucky ones. The developers are keeping the gameplay details under wraps, and at the exhibition, only the main features and mechanics were revealed. It was revealed that all events will take place in third-person mode, and that the player will be offered a vast, partially open world to explore as they progress through the game. You'll encounter vast locations, gloomy places, open houses and shops where you'll find various loot, and much more. Moreover, the environments in Ghostwire Tokyo boast a high level of detail and interactivity, which is quite impressive. As for the combat system, things are a bit more complex. Firstly, you'll mostly be using melee weapons, although firearms will also be present. Secondly, the protagonist will have access to various supernatural abilities that can be upgraded as you progress through the game. Thirdly, the combat system allows for both open and stealth play. Otherwise, it's a typical action adventure with a touch of horror, in which you'll have to fight, survive, complete various missions, and more.
