Description : Play as six epic heroes, fight your way to victory by summoning warriors, casting spells and destroying enemy towers. Experience the adventures of the campaign mode or battle other players in competitive PvP. Choose a hero in each of three hilarious handcrafted campaigns, each with a captivating soundtrack. Play in 2v2 and 1v1 matches, build decks, upgrade cards, and destroy the Soulstones powering your opponents with incredible combinations of warrior abilities and spells. Devise strategies and improve your decks to climb to the top of the leaderboards. In addition to the fun, yet silly, story of the campaign, you can play online matches. Playing the campaign earns you multiplayer rewards, and I believe this is where the developer wants players to spend their time. The game supports crossplay across all platforms, which is a nice touch, and the few matches I played worked better with the MOBA style of play, as the maps are more compact. There are alternative paths, and they probably offer an advantage, but I never used them, and neither did other players. However, you can collect a lot of characters and unlockables in this mode, and I found myself enjoying the short breaks between other games thanks to Quick Resume. HEROish really emphasizes the replayability of its campaigns and short matches. At its core, I think it works best as an on-the-go game, rather than a big-screen TV experience. You probably won't spend hours on end playing HEROish, but it makes for a nice break when you're bored. But in a world where games demand too much of the player, short and fun games make me happy.
