It features a completely new open world, an improved skill system, gameplay mechanics, and a complex storyline. The main goal of this project is to honor one of the best classic cRPGs and invite die-hard fans of the original Gothic trilogy, as well as new players, to another adventure in the Kingdom of Myrtana. Travel to Archolos, a vast island east of the mainland of Myrtana, and explore a never-before-seen region with vineyards, farms, and villages mentioned in the first Gothic game. Visit the great city of Archolos and get lost in the cobblestone streets of the largest city ever featured in the entire Gothic trilogy. On the island of Archolos, you'll have the opportunity to delve into the deepest mines, visit the serene Adanos Monastery, sip beer while listening to gossip in one of the town's taverns, and discover other fascinating places whose secrets will be revealed only to the bravest of adventurers... The Kingdom of Myrtana, a country whose foundations are crumbling under the winds of war and unrest raging across its lands. Experience the events that shaped the original gothic storyline and witness firsthand how the creation of the Valley of Mines affected people far from the main continent. Leave your mark in a brutal world where every decision you make has a clear impact on the environment and the lives of those you meet along the way. Play as Marvin, a young man driven from his home by the war looming on the horizon. The reality of Archolos, the place to which he flees, unfortunately turns out to be far from his expectations. Wealthy merchants hungry only for more gold, servants of King Robar II enforcing ever-stricter laws, and waves of desperate refugees who, like the protagonist, seek a decent life. Marvin will have to find a way to survive in this land of betrayal, opportunism, and competing interests. You are not a chosen hero, you are not a villain. You are a survivor.
