Jianghu Survivor is a 2D action roguelike set in an Asian fantasy setting, inspired by Chinese culture. The camera is located from above and to the side. There are three maps and four characters to choose from. Each location has a detailed text description, which also reveals the local lore. The player also has 12 difficulty levels, several of which can be selected at once. Each difficulty level enhances enemies in its own way. They can increase enemy movement speed, increase the number of enemies on screen, prohibit the use of buffs, reduce the protagonist's maximum health, and more. JS can be considered the spiritual successor to Vampire Survivors. Unlike the cult game that spawned an entire subgenre of simplified roguelikes, this title, in addition to its graphics and setting, features multiplayer for 3-4 players and an emphasis on oriental martial arts. The gameplay is very similar. The player's goal is to survive for 15 minutes (unless infinite mode is selected). Monsters attack the player from all sides, gradually becoming stronger. The fighter chooses their targets and fights independently. Players can only move their character around the map, thereby helping them avoid damage, and collect experience orbs dropped by enemies. They can also choose or upgrade items for their character each time they level up, thus creating custom builds. Items can be rerolled.
