The people living and working along this road seem a little strange at first, but you soon become accustomed to themâ€”an aging delivery man delivering the last order for a closing antique store, a girl repairing old televisions surrounded by ghosts, a boy and his enormous eagle friend, robot musicians, an invisible but invisibly observing power company, and small communities dying out, struggling with their own extinction. KENTUCKY ROUTE ZERO is a five-act magical realism game featuring a haunting electronic score, as well as a collection of anthems and bluegrass tunes by The Bedquilt Ramblers. This story is about unpaid debts, an unattainable future, and people searching for a place in society. The game's stunning visuals are inspired by theater, film, and experimental electronic artâ€”as much as by the history of video games.
