This remake of the third-person action RPG Kingdoms of Amalur offers exploration across 5 unique regions, 4 races, and 3 development trees, each comprising 22 skills. The races consist of Nobles (Almain), Vagabonds (Varani), Light Elves (Ljosalfar), and Dark Elves (Dokkalfar). You can be a warrior, a mage, or a thief. The choice of protagonist significantly impacts the overall gameplay, as they start with varying levels of Alchemy, Persuasion, Blacksmithing, Detect Hidden, Trade, Lockpicking, Crystal Crafting, Dispel Magic, and Stealth. A key gameplay feature is the Fate system, which allows the player to unlock various skill trees, allowing them to develop specific abilities. The combat mechanics draw inspiration from hack-n-slash games, where timing a button press is crucial to unleash a combo.
