For two centuries, the remnants of humanity have struggled to survive without electricity and light. But all is not lost. In 2221, survivors discovered lumenâ€”a type of crystal with vast energy reserves that could be humanity's lifeline. Brave miners, dubbed scouts, founded an underground settlement from which they set out through the darkness in search of lumen deposits. In the shadows of underground caves and tunnels, not only salvation for humanity but also mortal danger awaits them. It's your turn to descend into the bottomless darkness... PAVE A PATH TO SALVATION WITH A DRILL AND A MACHINE GUN. Swarms of enemies lurk in the dark dungeons, eager to destroy your base. Illuminate the gloomy tunnels with flashes of gunfire and turrets as you fight for survival. Drill new passages and shafts to reach valuable resources, or blow up walls and enemies along with them. EXPLORE A FULLY DESTRUCTIVE ENVIRONMENT. With great effort, the 2Dynamic Games team used specialized algorithms to transform the open-source Godot engine into an entirely new tool. Now, every particle of the environment (what we called pixels) can be destroyed, and creating maps is as easy as using a drawing program. PLAY THE WAY YOU LIKE. Lumencraft offers several game modes, so you'll find the one that's right for you. You can play through a 27-mission campaign that tells the story of humanity's struggle for survival. You can take advantage of procedural map generation and play rogue-like. You can also create your own level in the editor or explore maps created by other users on the Steam Workshop. Custom game modes (such as tower defense, skirmish, survival, or a combination of these) with customizable starting technologies, upgrades, and objectives will test your mettle under any conditions. Play with friends on the same computer or dive into the depths together using Steam Remote Play.
