The year is 841, and King Harold is dead. As news of his death spreads throughout the kingdom, the crown passes to his arrogant, inexperienced son, Magnus. Worse yet, the Blightâ€”a cursed plague unseen for a thousand yearsâ€”has returned. This cursed plague spreads across the land, corrupting everything and everyone it touches. Matrigal Celene, a ruthless and ambitious figure in the church hierarchy, sees the Blight as an opportunity to prove herself to her god. These forces converge on the remote island of Sacra, where rebel groups and the local government desperately fight for control amid the crumbling, ivy-covered ruins of an ancient civilization. You are a Kerim, one of a sect of mystical warriors gifted with extraordinary powers and sworn to end the Blight at any cost. However, your task becomes more complex as your adventures force you to delve into the hardships of ordinary people and unwittingly plunge you into the maelstrom of political intrigue unfolding in this tormented land. Chaos will pull you in all directions as you strive to cleanse the land of evil and determine the fate of the kingdom.
