Hundreds of kingdoms have risen and fallen here, and now it's your turn to leave a mark by building your own! To do so, you'll have to survive the brutality of the wilds, as well as the threats of rival nations and your own court.

To do so, you'll need to survive in this harsh environment and eliminate the threat from your rivals... as well as from within your own court.

Pathfinder: Kingmaker is based on one of the most popular Adventure Paths, Pathfinder, of the same name. You don't need to know its story beforehand, but if you do, you'll encounter familiar and beloved characters, along with a host of new companions, allies, plot twists, and threats that significantly expand and enrich the original story. With support from Paizo and the publisher's authors, writer Chris Avellone and the Owlcat team have expanded the story and reworked the quests, making the already engaging adventures in the Stolen Lands even more engaging.

Although Pathfinder: Kingmaker is a single-player game, you won't be setting out on your adventure alone. Kingmaker features a wide variety of companions and NPCs, including the cast from the original Pathfinder. You'll have to decide who to trust and who to watch with caution, as each companion has their own goals and worldview, which may differ from yours. Your adventure becomes theirs, and your decisions will shape their fates not only in the present but also in the future.

We chose the Kingmaker Adventure Path for its many open-world mechanics that allow players to shape their story as they explore the Stolen Lands, challenging them as explorers and rulers. More importantly, the game allows you to claim these lands as your own and create your own kingdom in the wild wasteland. While the game still centers on the classic dungeon crawler, diplomacy, politics, and kingdom development also play a significant role. Choose your allies wisely and keep them close as you explore ancient tombs and ruins, and engage in court politics.

As you'll discover, creating a kingdom isn't just about constructing a citadel. Your kingdom is a reflection of your character and the choices you make throughout the game. It's like a living being, constantly changing based on your alignment, your allies, and your leadership skills. As you expand your kingdom, build new cities, and establish new settlements, your capital will physically change based on your decisions, your policies, and even your alliances. As your kingdom grows, various factions and neighboring countries will seek your favorâ€”and test your strength. Explore, conquer, rule!
