Description : Postal: Brain Damaged is a first-person shooter made in a retro style, which is a spin-off to the Postal series. The story finds the protagonist in a mental hospital full of freaks, where a big, evil nurse feeds the patients horrific drugs, turning them and the orderlies into lustful, bloodthirsty maniacs. Is this some kind of deranged nightmare or a twisted reality? As the Dude, you must navigate all the stages of escalating madness to escape the asylum. It's a shame the outside world has gone just as crazy. You can't trust your mind or your eyes, but there's one sign of stability you can always rely on: good old-fashioned violence! Despite some flaws, Postal: Brain Damaged is an excellent old-school shooter. And currently, it's the only installment in the series that's truly engaging and enjoyable to play. Genre fans will appreciate the dynamic gameplay, while series fans will appreciate the signature humor and references to previous installments. It's gratifying to see that the series, despite a rocky road and the frankly disastrous recent installments, has managed to bounce back and reassert itself. Not through provocation and scandal, as was the case previously, but by addressing its mistakes and making radical changes. Postal: Brain Damaged could be a starting point for new experiments within the series. Perhaps, ending on a high note, Hyperstrange will delight us with a completely new game in the future, breaking free from the confines of the existing franchise.
