Description: Prey is a science fiction first-person shooter video game developed by Human Head Studios and published by 3D Realms and 2K Games in 2006. In Russia, it was localized and published by 1C. The game uses a slightly modified Doom 3 graphics engine. In October 2006, 3D Realms announced that, due to its commercial success on the PC and Xbox 360 platforms, 1 million copies of the game had been sold worldwide. The game's story centers on a Cherokee Indian named Domasi "Tommy" Tawodi, a mechanic and former U.S. Army soldier living on an Indian reservation in Oklahoma. He, his girlfriend, and his grandfather are abducted by aliens and imprisoned aboard an alien spacecraft known as the Sphere, as it consumes material, both living and nonliving, from Earth to sustain itself. Tommy's Cherokee heritage allows him to periodically move his spirit freely and return to life after death, giving him an advantage in the battle against the Sphere.
