"Silent Hill 2" is the second part of the Silent Hill game series. The story continues..... James Sunderland is a broken man. After losing his wife Mary, who died of an illness three years ago, he suddenly receives a letter written on her behalf. In the letter, she invites him to return to a place that was once special to them both—the town of Silent Hill. Silent Hill holds wonderful memories for the couple. However, when James arrives there by car, he discovers that the tunnel leading to the town is blocked. Continuing on foot, he discovers that much has changed in Silent Hill. Its once-bustling streets are now empty, and the entire town is shrouded in a thick fog. Only silent, nightmarish creatures roam it. It becomes clear that there is more to the town than meets the eye, and on his journey to the truth, James will meet other lost souls who seem drawn to this place.
"Silent Hill 2: Enhanced Edition" is an ongoing series of enhancement packs that make the PC version of "Silent Hill 2" compatible with modern hardware and playable in 16:9 widescreen, while improving visuals and audio and fixing bugs. Examples of what "Silent Hill 2: Enhanced Edition" provides include: widescreen camera support; high-definition resolution; upscaled fonts and 2D art; PlayStation 2-quality sound, fog, and shadows; restored post-processing effects; improved controller support; and much more. Created by a team of programmers, modders, and artists, these enhancement packs will provide the ultimate Silent Hill 2 experience.
