Sanctum 2 is a sequel to an engaging hybrid game, combining first-person shooter and strategy (Tower Defense). The new game features a large number of new maps, updated towers, and new monsters, plus a choice of four new defender classes that can be upgraded and unlocked with new, more powerful weapons. Each class has both strengths and weaknesses, so surviving on the maps will require several active allies. Characters can be equipped through a new, extensive customization system. Players can choose their own set of towers, weapons, and perks, but they must do so wisely, as they are humanity's last hope against a relentless army of aliens seeking only destruction. Sanctum 2 combines elements of many genres. As players progress, they uncover the secrets of the planet LOEK III and understand why the aliens want to destroy the Core.
