In Smalland: Survive the Wilds, the player assumes the role of a hero who was shrunk under unexplained circumstances. The protagonist awakens in the forest, unsure if anyone else has shared the same fate. With questions swirling in their minds, they embark on a struggle not only to discover the truth but, above all, to survive in this inhospitable new world. The player observes the events from a third-person perspective. Survival challenges are unique due to the hero's small size. During the adventure, players will have to navigate a vast forest, a living ecosystemâ€”the creatures that inhabit it pose a threat to the protagonist not only because they may treat him as food but also because they can steal the supplies he has accumulated for later life. However, these aren't wolves, bears, or other predators, but rather animals not typically associated with danger, such as squirrels and rabbits (much larger than the protagonist) and ants (whose colonies can destroy the fruits of his hard work).
