Description: Space Mechanic Simulator isn't just another mechanic game where your only task is fixing some parts. All the parts in this game are simulated, making the gameplay more immersive and realistic. You can't simply disconnect a pipe before closing a valve, and sometimes you won't even know what's broken until you consult schematics and diagnose the problem with your tools. All this happens while you're floating in zero gravity or in complete darkness orbiting the dark side of a planet. Luckily, you're well prepared for all of this. Your spacesuit comes with a powerful flashlight and automatic controls that will help you stabilize if necessary. Just be careful not to run out of oxygen, fuel, or power, as you'll have to fly back to your shuttle to refill. Of course, you can always take a shortcut, but time is money, after all. Naturally, it would be very unprofessional to throw a new astronaut into all this without proper preparation. As you progress through the game, you'll unlock tutorials that grant you access to new tools and new activities. You'll start with simple mechanical repairs and diagnostics using infrared cameras and sensors built into devices, then move on to electrical repair and even programming. You can also earn extra cash by learning to mine resources instead of buying them. Realism and challenge, or fun and fantasy? This game strives to find a balance between complex, overwhelming realism and the joy of simplicity and familiarity. You won't be repairing dark matter reactors or warp drives. On the contrary, many of the devices you encounter are based on real-world devices used in industry here on Earth. You'll measure electrical signals, temperatures, and pressures using specialized instruments, compare the information with diagrams, and follow the directions to find the root of the problem. The Beauty of Space: Since the game takes place in the solar system, you won't see colorful nebulae, binary stars, or black holes in Space Mechanic Simulator. When creating a space game in our neighborhood, you can't just make things up. Luckily, you don't have to. The game's graphics focus on emphasizing the overwhelming scale of celestial bodies as you, a tiny human, fly around them in various orbits. You'll see light reflected off a planet's surface as it illuminates your spaceship, or the shadow cast by the Moon on the Earth's surface as you view a solar eclipse from a different perspective than anyone else on the planet's surface. You might repair a satellite chasing and observing a comet, or fly low over the surface of a gas giant with supersonic winds, recovering scientific data from a broken drone. You can observe the Sun from its orbit or gaze at Earth from a front-row seat on the Moon. Or simply relax while watching the famous blue sunset on Mars. Our approach to making space in the game beautiful was to create an artistic vision of the Solar System that could pass for realistic. We applied the "rule of cool," trying not to overdo anything. The result is a game that offers a unique and memorable experience of our system, one that will make you want to boot up the game the next day and immerse yourself in this strange, magnetic environment within the tiny interior of your spacesuit.
