Play through a series of missions from 1939 to 1945, spanning three wars: the Winter War, the Soviet-Finnish War (1941-1944), and the Lapland War. Historical campaign operations are smaller in size, but full of battles, maneuvers, and side missions based on legendary historical battles. Take part in several major battles that never took place in reality in this alternate history. The assault on Leningrad alongside the German army, the capture of Murmansk, and the deprivation of the USSR of Lend-Lease aidâ€”and that's just the beginning. In 1939, the Finns had 12 Vickers light tanks against approximately 6,000 Soviet tanks. Even the odds with units from other countries and transform a hodgepodge into a first-class force. At your disposal is the most deadly sniper in historyâ€”Simo HÃ¤yhÃ¤. With 542 confirmed kills, and a total closer to 705, Simo HÃ¤yhÃ¤ was not just the most prolific sniper of World War II, but arguably the deadliest in history. It was not for nothing that he was nicknamed the "White Death."

Assemble your own army. Train and equip your troops. As your units gain combat experience, they can gain additional skills. Manage your headquarters between battles.

While Finnish military production is still incomplete, compensate for the supply shortfall with equipment captured in battle. Turn Soviet guns against their creators!

Use skills and equipment. Load incendiary or sub-caliber shells to maximize damage to the enemy. In a hopeless situation, move your troops using forced marches. In the air, use aerobatics to tip the scales in your favor. Use Headquarters Skills to influence the outcome of the entire battle.

An advanced detection system that emphasizes the importance of reconnaissance. Before attacking, use reconnaissance units and aerial reconnaissance to gather information on enemy troop dispositions.

Adapt to any combat conditions. The game features a day and night cycle, as well as various weather types, such as frost and rain. Your elite troops can even use these conditions to their advantage. Take the best positions under the cover of night, or attack the enemy when they are weakened and immobilized by the cold. Use the most advanced supply system and infrastructure in the genre. Ammunition and fuel are limited for all units. Without ammunition, you can't attack, and without fuel, your vehicles won't moveâ€”and aircraft without fuel will simply crash. The heart of your supply system generates supplies and distributes them throughout the system.

Supply points. They connect various infrastructure and distribute supplies. Your troops can also replenish or replace equipment at these points. They allow aircraft to land for refueling, repairs, and equipment replacement. Damage inflicted on an airfield also affects all aircraft stationed there.

Seaport. Allows you to resupply and restock your fleet. It also generates supplies if there's a nearby naval supply center and the port isn't under enemy blockade.

Damage to infrastructure. If you want to deprive the enemy of supplies, target infrastructure. Infrastructure can be disabled by inflicting enough damage to drop its health below 50%. Its health then slowly recovers until the building becomes operational again.

Cut enemy supply lines. All infrastructure objects are considered connected if a truck can easily pass between them. Place your unit between enemy infrastructure buildings to disrupt their logistics. Deprive the enemy of ammunition and fuel, then finish them off or capture them.

Make sure your supply lines are secure. Supplies can only be delivered within a limited radiusâ€”take this into account before breaking through to the enemy.
