You play as Jan Dolski, the sole survivor of a crash-landed ship on a hostile planet. To survive, you must assemble a new team for your mobile base. The game's unique feature is that, using a substance called rapidium, you create alternate versions of Jan—ALTERS—each shaped by various fateful decisions from the protagonist's past. Dilemmas related to survival and moral choice inform a branching narrative, filled with gripping character dynamics and challenging decisions. At the same time, you'll be forced to consider one of life's fundamental questions: do we shape our destiny, or does it shape us? This makes your struggle for survival deeply personal. Use the quantum computer at your base to simulate alternative outcomes of your past decisions and uncover the different paths Jan's life has taken. Each alter, brought to life by the remarkable properties of rapidium, possesses unique skills and emotional depth. These versions present challenges as well as opportunities, as you must overcome personal difficulties and manage the fragile dynamics of your team. To manage your mobile base, you must explore the planet's surface in search of valuable resources, such as metals and organic materials. However, venturing beyond the safety of your shelter risks exposing yourself and your alters to various deadly anomalies and constant solar radiation. Therefore, pay attention to the game's day/night cycle and plan your daily activities wisely! Progress through a story rich with moral dilemmas and branching narratives. Your choices will shape Ian's relationships with his alters, which in turn will influence their paths and lead you to different outcomes and endings. The resources you gather can be used in various ways – crafting essential items or expanding your base with additional modules, such as a research lab or a break room. Sometimes you'll have to choose between crafting items specifically for your alters and those that can help you advance your mission, like anomaly detectors or radiation filters. The burden of each decision falls solely on your shoulders, as you can never satisfy everyone's needs. The planet is full of unique biomes and secrets just waiting to be uncovered. But beware of deadly anomalies: while flying rocks and terrifying reality distortions are visible to the naked eye, other singularities require specialized tools to spot. In any case, you must exercise extreme caution, otherwise you risk instant death, radiation exposure, and even the collapse of time and space. It might be a good idea to avoid exploring the planet during the hoursWhen extreme radiation can corrode your suit. Safe travels! Jan Dolski must find answers to the ultimate question: "What if...?" with the help of alternate versions of himself. This makes his situation even more terrifying, as you gradually learn how each choice affects Jan's survival.
