The Long Dark is a single-player survival simulator where the player must survive a harsh Canadian winter after a geomagnetic disaster. The game is distinguished by its realism, the absence of fantastical enemies, and an emphasis on the struggle against nature. This is an atmospheric first-person survival experience where the player takes on the role of pilot Will Mackenzie, who crashed in the Canadian wilderness after a geomagnetic storm. There are no zombies or mutants here - only cold, hunger, wild animals, and merciless nature. The player must explore vast snowy expanses, gather resources, hunt, stay warm and healthy, and make difficult decisions to survive. You will also have to make various moral decisions that will influence the development of the plot, the gameplay, and the further development of humanity as a whole.
