Description:On the morning of June 6, 1944, the Western Allies launched the largest seaborne invasion in the history of warfare. D-Day marked the beginning of a brutal campaign to liberate northwestern Europe from German control. In the following months, ancient fields, farms, and villages would become battlegrounds for a deadly new weapon that would become legendary. The Troop follows the campaign of British and Canadian forces as they clash with the German Heer and SS in Normandy. Take command of infantry, motorized, and armored units in desperate, tactical turn-based combat against an AI opponent that is challenging and unpredictable, yet fair and prone to error. Play as the British/Canadian or German forces on over 30 maps and in 4 game modes. Simple and complete control. The Troop combines the best traditions of classic tabletop wargames with the interactivity and excitement of a digital format. You have complete control over your units' actions; tanks won't unexpectedly expose their weak side armor, hidden guns won't reveal their positions with a premature shot, and infantry won't inexplicably flee when victory is just a few heroic steps away. You can take your time... but any mistakes are yours and yours alone. Your AI opponent has no special knowledge and is subject to the same rules and restrictions as you. They have no set plan, and will change their deployment and tactics with each iteration. Story Mode: Follow the narrative of the D-Day campaign, playing as different units (Commonwealth and German) in different situations as the story unfolds across Normandy. Skirmish Mode: Choose your scenario, choose your side, choose your forces, set restrictions for your enemies... Play. What will the enemy bring to the battle and what tactics will they employ? You'll have to wait and see, but things won't be the same as last time! Endless replayability. Campaign: Take command of resilient forces in a series of interconnected, history-based scenarios.
