Description: This Is the President is a management game with a captivating storyline. It's 2020, and you've been elected President of the United States. To avoid retribution for financial crimes, you must ratify the 28th Amendment, granting the president lifetime immunity. Manage your subordinates and shadowy lieutenants like a true mafioso to deal with old problems and fresh presidential headaches. You'll have to contend with rivals, bureaucrats, the press, and the leaders of other countries. In this game, a heady mix of thriller and satire, every player's actions inevitably lead to deadly absurdity or tragicomedy. However, the path to lifetime immunity is thorny, and you'll have to clean up yet another mess every day. Some say that's the job of the president. Gain popularity by capping prices on computer games and banning online advertising. But why limit yourself to advertising? You could hog the entire internet... and at the same time help your Chinese friends with censorship. Or save the Russian president before his rival outshines him. And what's wrong with sending a hamster into space? Anything's better than helping a serial killer avoid prison. Some of your allies might not like your decisions, of course, but now's the time to remind them who's covering up their dirty deeds. Gambling, for example, drunkenness, physical violence... not bad, right? Thugs, hackers, journalists, lawyers—you can't do without them. And if your orders sometimes cause them emotional distress, a generous Christmas bonus from a charitable foundation will cure it all. And while the Americans may delude themselves that the "separation of powers" works, your methods are convincing to anyone. Deep down, they know: no one can separate you from power. Change the United States Constitution by persuading, blackmailing, bribing, and intimidating politicians to gain lifetime immunity—because you have no other choice.
