Description: Wolfenstein: The New Order is a first-person shooter that tells an alternative history in which the Third Reich defeated the enemy and enslaved the entire world. Nazi Germany achieved incredible technological advances, so the setting can be considered retrofuturism with dystopian elements. The plot directly continues the story of the 2009 game. The year is 1946. William "BJ" Blazkowicz suffers a serious head injury during the assault on Dr. Skull's fortress. He falls into a vegetable state for 14 long years. Upon awakening, he discovers how the world has changed under Nazi rule. The gameplay is a classic hardcore FPS, taking the player through mountainous terrain, Nazi outposts, the deep sea, into space, and into a combat mech! Unlike many games in the genre, Wolfenstein: The New Order is heavily story-driven and character-driven. At certain points, the protagonist will have to make difficult decisions that change the course of the story and the characters that appear in the game. All the game's characters possess unique abilities, individual histories, and charisma. The game contains numerous references and allusions to the real world, but it twists it inside out, showing how certain events would have played out had the Third Reich come to power after World War II. Just look at the Nazi Beatles! BJ will learn about all the horrific experiments in the Skull's secret labs and encounter supersoldiers and Panzerhundsârobot dogs. The game's soundtrack was written by cult Australian composer Mick Gordon, featuring Fredrik Thordendal of the Swedish math metal band Meshuggah.
