Become the Undead Gunslinger, condemned to wander the desolate lands until you find a way to break your curse and free your soul. No, this isn't your typical Wild West hero's redemption quest. This is the path of damnation. Canyons, swamps, and mountains. Each one is teeming with hideous monsters and unholy demons, each serving as an open world for you to explore. The average player will need over 20 hours to complete all three scenarios, and over 35 hours to see everything the desolate lands have to offer. Blood West is a stealth FPS inspired by genre classics like the Thief series, the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. games, and, from the modern catalog, Hunt: Showdown. The gameplay rewards a careful approach, studying the terrain, stalking enemies, and attacking from the shadows. Can you find a way to clear the fort of ghouls and monsters without raising the alarm? The Blood West is a nightmarish, twisted vision of Wild West legend. A curse has corrupted all life and the land itself, summoning restless spirits and dark entities. In this blend of Western and Lovecraftian horror, dark occult magic is as much a threat as sudden lead poisoning. In Blood West, you'll encounter a variety of colorful yet strange, fully voiced NPCs. They're prisoners of the Blood West just like you, occasionally sharing their unusual stories and sending you on various quests. Be kind, and they might reward you or become allies. Enrage them, and risk their wrath. The game won't hold your hand. You'll have to explore the land yourself (buying a map from a merchant can be helpful!) and find your way to complete quests. As you explore three expansive maps, keep an eye out for hidden spots and secret caches. There's gold in the mountains! But be carefulâ€”it's probably cursed. If stealth isn't your thing, or you feel like you have a physical advantage over your enemies, you can always take a direct approach and meet them head-on. Blood West comes from the developers of the fan-favorite boomer shooter POSTAL: Brain Damaged, so expect plenty of fantasy violence and pixelated gore! Someone else's hell might be another scavenger's paradise! From simple disposable items like bandages to medical potions, explosives, and incendiaries, all the way to arcane artifacts that can change your playstyle, the Lifeless Lands are full of STUFF. There are plenty of useful items to discover, and there's a special player storage box for all those super-rare potions you'll hoard and never use. A gunslinger without a gun is just an ordinary thrower. Where's the fun in that? Blood West guarantees you'll have a variety of weapons to choose from. Revolvers, rifles, shotguns, carbinesâ€”there's a wide selection of firearms.From standard military-grade to imbued with powerful magic or downright possessed. And if you prefer to keep a low profile, there's a wide selection of melee weapons and bows to choose from. Blood West's RPG-like, perk-based progression system allows you to tailor your gameplay to your liking. Become a stealthy hunter, a fanatical marksman, or an unstoppable berserker. You'll gain experience and advance through the skill tree, unlocking new artifacts in each scenario that grant you additional abilities. Combining skills and equipment creates more possible playstyles than you can explore in a single run.
