Description: In just fifty years, Earth, once aspiring to a tantalizing future, found itself on the brink of destruction, engulfed by environmental disasters, global war, and the collapse of human civilization. It is during this time that Maelstrom takes place. In this devastated world, the planet's dwindling resources have divided what remains of humanity in two: the urban freedom fighters known as the Remnants and the technologically advanced Ascension Corporation. Now they must confront a new threat, the invasion of the brutal aliens known as the Hai-Genti, while engaging in a desperate internecine war for supremacy and survival. Across multiple missions, you'll have the opportunity to command multiple characters, complete various combat missions using faction-specific tactics and weapons, and even reshape the landscape and transform your troops. Maelstrom gives you control over the forces of nature in the most frantic, destructive, and action-packed real-time strategy game ever created.
