Description: SGS Spain at War is a complete, standalone game covering the Spanish Civil War from July 1936 to April 1939. The game covers the entire war from July 18, 1936, using a weekly turn system. As the Nationalist, you must lead your powerful Army of Africa units to the peninsula and take control of key cities to force the Republic to surrender. As the Republican player, you must delay the enemy's initial advance while building a popular army to be ready to confront the enemy's regular army, particularly its veteran units. Spain at War is a highly detailed game featuring all the units that took part in the conflict, including the Falangist and Carlist militias, every unit of the Army of Africa, dozens of Republican militia units, Italian air squadrons with their historical names and images, all warships of both sides, battalions of the International Brigades, Basque, Asturian, and Catalan units, Anarchist units, Soviet T-26s, I-15 Chatos and I-16 Moscas, the Bf109s of the Condor Legion, and much more! Players must use their industrial capacity wisely, investing resources in new units or replacing weakened ones to avoid their destruction. However, it is impossible to repair or replace every lost unit, as is the case with ships or elite units (such as the Legion). Maps also play a key role in the game, introducing some variety to various areas such as reinforcements, economics, diplomacy, politics, popular support, and, most importantly, battles. Players will also find enjoyable historical events in the game, which add a touch of chrome to the game and help them feel the historical moment being represented. The knowledge, experience, and biography of Miguel Santacruz, the developer of España: 1936 and the Battle of Spain, played a vital role in the creation and development of this game, with the assistance of the SGS team. Extensive bibliography and data were compiled to support the research necessary for the development of this game, ensuring its authenticity. The game will include a grand campaign scenario covering the entire war, as well as other (shorter) scenarios based on different initial years or limited to specific areas (Ebro, Northern Front) of the war.
