Description : Warcraft III is a cult computer game in the real-time strategy genre. Unlike previous games in the series, the number of opposing sides has increased from two to four: you can play for the already familiar Alliance and Horde, as well as for two new races - the Undead and the Night Elves. However, the general gameplay has not changed - the player still needs to obtain resources, build bases and recruit troops to destroy the enemy. A new feature is heroes - unique warriors with special abilities and the ability to gain experience by killing enemy warriors. The game's campaign begins 12 years after the events of Warcraft II: Beyond the Dark Portal and tells the story of the arrival of demons to the world of Azeroth.
Additional information : Patch 1.26a is the last "people's" patch of the old guard of Blizzard, released in 2011. Patch 1.27b is the last offline patch, released in 2016 under the title "You can throw your old PowerPC Mac out the window! We've created a new installer that supports OS X 10.10 and 10.11." Patch 1.29.2 is the last patch to support the MPQ game format, released in 2018. Support for wide monitors was added (previous patches stretched the 4:3 image to fit the screen width).
