Description : We Are The Caretakers is an Afrofuturistic role-playing game with Squad management mechanics. Form a secret squad of planetary defenders to face enemies in the style of Darkest Dungeon, Ogre Battle, and XCOM. Engage in turn-based combat and protect rare animals that sustain the world. Choose your approach to global resistance and manage your reputation, resources, research, animals, and alliances. We Are The Caretakers is an engaging RPG with strategy elements in which you defend the planet, fighting for the people, animals, and ecosystems that inhabit it.
Game Features :
  • An Afrofuturist universe. Former Activision Blizzard artist Anthony Jones imbues this complex sci-fi world with a unique Afrofuturist style and empathy.
  • Reputation system. Every action you take affects how people perceive the Overseers. Are they afraid of you? Or will they help you protect the Rauna from extinction and save the world?
  • Turn-based combat. Use both force and diplomacy in an innovative turn-based combat system. Protecting animals isn't easy. Every decision has consequences.
  • Assemble your squads. Form up to nine squads, recruiting characters with different stats, strengths, weaknesses, and personalities. Train and develop your Overseers across over 20 unique classes.
  • Grow your headquarters. Meet new leaders, research technologies, and recruit allies. Strive to reach a compromise by fulfilling their conflicting demands to save our world.
  • A rich narrative. In a world with fuzzy morals, outsiders play just as important a role as the squads of rangers you lead.
  • Generated Wildlife. The engaging procedurally generated survival mode offers endless gameplay possibilities.
  • You'll get a baby Rauna. It will sleep at your feet until it grows too big to fit on your bed. It's adorable!
